Mark your Calendars! October 25, 6:30-8:00 pm

Parents will be asked to provide feedback on Odle's School Improvement Plan on October 25. We need a great turn-out for this important evening which will begin at 6:30 in the Odle library.  More information about this will be coming soon.  If you can, arrive early --6pm-- for refreshments and some informal social time.

A very brief 15 minute PTSA general meeting will be part of the evening so that we can elect our nominating committee for the year.
Thank you Principal McDowell

We thank Principal McDowell for staying late after school last week to make a presentation and answer parent questions at the PTSA meeting. Parents who attended learned about the new classroom management strategy piloted at Highland and now in place at Odle, about how the school will spend the $60,000 granted from Bellevue Schools Foundation to enhance our success program, and about plans for the school re-build.

Volunteer Appreciation

Parent volunteers provided a special breakfast for Superintendent Tim Mills, Assistant Superintendent Eva Collins, visiting Japanese leaders of the BIWA students and the Odle faculty.   Our faculty and visitors were impressed by the beautiful tables overflowing with tasty breakfast items and Starbucks coffee!! Thank you all for your fabulous response!!

Special thanks to Staff Appreciation chair Archana Verma for coordinating everything.

Volunteer Needs

Magazine Drive & Cookie Dough

The Associated Student Body needs to raise some funds for the year.  They are launching a MAGAZINE DRIVE & COOKIE DOUGH SALE.  PTSA has been asked to provide some parent helpers during the order turn-in and delivery days.  Please email cwdevine57@gmail.com if you can help.

Reflections Program:  The Magic of a Moment

"The Magic of a Moment" is this year's theme for the PTSA sponsored arts competition. Odle will not be able to participate this year unless we find a chair or co-chairs this week!  Last year's chair and a district chair are available to answer any questions.   Convince a friend to co-chair with you and go for it.  Email krista_hammer@yahoo.com if you have questions or would like this position.

eScrip Program

It's never too late to sign up for the eScrip program!

eScrip is an important part of our fundraising program.  We ask that every family help us make the grade in our fundraising goal.  Our school needs your support!

If you did not have the chance to turn in your enrollment form during the Taking Care of Business days, you can sign up or renew on-line at any time.  This task will take just a few minutes and your Safeway grocery card number.

  • Log onto www.eScrip.com.  Enter the School or Group I.D. # 8565400.
  • Shop at eScrip merchants.
  • Use your eScrip registered cards for all your purchases.
  • A percentage of purchases will be automatically contributed by the merchant.

That's it!  It's that easy - your family shops - our school earns dollars.

We support parent advocacy through information, organization, and collaboration. We welcome you to join our efforts to improve education for all gifted students in the Bellevue School District.
