Dear 8th Grade PRISM parents,
I hope everyone found the Odle back to school night to be informative and exciting. We are so lucky to have a fabulous group of teachers. If you are interested in helping our teachers and enhancing your child's experience at Odle there are a few volunteer opportunities available.
1. Do you like crafts? Do you want to help in some way but need to have something you can do on your own time at home? Here is a project for you! Help out the 8th Grade science teachers by, as Ms. Kull describes it ," This is a project to create laminated DNA pieces so in the spring when we do DNA replication the students don't have to re-make them every year. It would involve making copies of DNA pieces in various colors, cutting out pieces, laminating them, then attaching Velcro so they can be combined to show the construction of DNA. "
2. Ms. Boyd is repeating her very successful "Faces of Odle" evening on Thursday, October 20th. We need parent volunteers to assist her with set up that afternoon from 4:30 -5, help make coffee and set out cookies at 6:15 pm, and take photographs of the parents and their student interviewers from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
3. Do you want to make the end of the year celebration a memorable success for your 8th grader? Parents are needed to help with planning and gathering/taking photographs that can be used in the fabulous and much anticipated slide show.
Please contact me at skovron@hotmail.com or 883-6986 if you can help out or have any questions or ideas.
Thank you,
