Parent-Teacher Conference Schedule
October 22: Arena Conferences (last names A-L)*, 3:00-7:00 PM
October 29: Arena Conferences (last names M-Z)*, 3:00-7:00 PM
*Note Prism LA, SS, Math, Science teachers are by appointment or invitation only.

What are arena conferences? Arena conferences are a chance for parents/guardians to hear first hand from the teacher how their child is doing academically, behaviorally, and socially. Due to the high volume of students per teacher and to be courteous to other parents/guardians, conferences are limited to 5 minutes. Should the conference need to last longer, an appointment with the teacher should be made.

Internet Grade Viewer is Up for Parents & Students
Parents & students can now view their grades using the Intenet Grade Viewer tool.  To view grades:
  1. Go to the Odle Middle School page at www.odlemiddleschool.org
  2. Click on the Grade Viewer link under Links
  3. Click LOGIN button at the bottom of the page
  4. Enter UserName (Student's ID #) and password which was mailed to your home a few weeks ago by the district.  If you need your student's id and password, you may contact any of your student's teachers.
Washington State Healthy Youth Survey - Oct. 20th
Odle Middle School is participating in the Healthy Youth Survey October 20th.  This survey is a statewide survey which asks questions that are related to students' increased risk of injury, poor health outcomes, and alcohol and drug use.  Survey results are used by schools, communities and the state and local health departments to plan programs to support ur youth and reduce their risks.    The survey will be taken by students in grades 6 and 8 and it is voluntary and anonymous.   Additional information about the survey and directions on how to opt-out of the surveycan be found at www.hyw.wa.gov

Odle Visitation Policy
Odle welcomes guests to the school! Parents/guardians are welcome to visit in order to promote communication and mutual understanding about student progress and the District's educational program.  There are policies and procedures that must be followed to ensure the safety for all of our children.

All guests and visitors MUST SIGN IN AT THE MAIN OFFICE. School hours are 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Parent volunteers are needed in a variety of ways including tutoring, assisting in the library and office or just having lunch with a child. Parents wishing to volunteer at school should contact the main office so we can put them in touch with our volunteer coordinator.  Every contribution makes a difference!

Parents who wish to visit a teacher need to make an appointment ahead of time with the teacher via email or phone. Meetings before school are acceptable as long as the appointment is pre-arranged with the teacher. Tutorial (2:37-3:10 p.m.) is the time allotted for students and teachers' responsibilities and duties lie within meeting student needs first. This is not an appropriate time to meet with staff.

Student visitors are not allowed at Odle during the school day so that we can maintain an optimum learning environment for all students.

Should you have any questions about Odle's visitation policies and procedures, please contact the Main Office at 425-456-6600.

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Odle's Annual Food Drive! - 10/20 - 10/24 - PLEASE DONATE FOOD
The Odle Service Club is excited to announce the upcoming food drive to support the Bellevue Hopelink Food Bank.  Last year, our school donated 3180 lbs of food to Hopelink - the most Hopelink has ever received from one school.  We are hoping to out do ourselves this year and reach a donation goal of 3200 pounds of food.
Students bring donations to their first period class between 10/20 and 10/24.  Donation items include all non-perishable goods.  Some suggestions:
  • canned soup & chili
  • canned tuna or chicken
  • canned fruits and vegetables
  • pasta and rice
  • baking items
** All items must be in original packaging and sealed.
Donation collection progress will be announced on the morning announcements as well as charted on a poster in the hallway outside of the lunchroom.  As this is a school wide goal, there will be a reward for all students if we are able to reach our 3200 pound goal.
Thank you for your support,
The Odle Service Club, Jana Sparks & Amber Anderson - Advisors
Did you know that since 1979, Bellevue Schools Foundation has invested over $17.4 million in Bellevue public schools by raising funds from parents, teachers, businesses and community members.  BSF is an independent nonprofit that funds programs to prepare our Bellevue students for success in college and the workplace.  Learn more about the programs BSF is funding this year at www.bsfdn.org
Answer the Call - You can make this year's Phonathon the best ever!
Our fall phonathon will be November 10 -13.  This fundraiser is critical, because we need to pay for books and training that will be used this year.  Community volunteers will try to call every parent who has not already donated to BSF to talk about our wonderful programs!
Gifts to BSF impact every school, every classroom, every child - every day.
Our fall Phonathon goal is $280,000. Answer the phone and donate during the Phonathon or click here to donate now: www.bsfdn.org/donate
Every gift matters!   Donate by Oct. 29th and our volunteers won't have to call you.   THANK YOU!!
