December 2nd, 8pm - Suggested Donation at the Door
"I can't ever remember 'finding' cowboy poetry, " Waddie Mitchell says of the entertaining and enduring art of storytelling. "It was always there. The cowboys sure never called it poetry. I know I wouldn't have liked it if they would have. Seems like an oxymoron, don't it!?"
From his earliest days on the remote Nevada ranches where his father worked, Waddie was immersed in the cowboy way of entertaining, the art of spinnin' tales in rhyme and meter that came to be called cowboy poetry, a Western tradition that is as rich as the lifestyle that gave birth to it. Within his stories, told in a voice that is timeless and familiar, are the common bonds we all share, moments both grand and commonplace, the humorous and the tragic, the life and death struggles and triumphs that we each recognize. And yet, Waddie presents his material with personal insights and the lessons learned during his life spent as a buckaroo.
Join us for this special presentation - and bring the whole family!

Girlyman hails from Atlanta, Georgia, though they formed the band while sharing an apartment in Brooklyn, New York. The band, which blends modern acoustic, Americana and folk-rock, has a strong national following. Their wide range of instruments - acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, djembe, electric baritone guitar - reflects an eclectic sound. But it is their stunning three-part vocal blend that creates the Girlyman magic.

The Bobs......In Concert!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Bobs In Concert 8 PM, Wednesday, December 17 $22 Advance - $24 Day of Show TICKETS/INFORMATION (503) 615-3485
Last year The Bobs packed the concert hall with standing ovation cheer. Dynamic and invigorating, these four talented funsters are part theatre, part farce, part performance art, but most of all The Bobs are an exceptional evening of music. A contemporary a cappella group, the Bobs are a "band without instruments" using just their voices and body percussion to fill the theatre with an orchestra of harmonious sound, accompanying themselves on songs that range from soulful to satire, from amazing to moving, from familiar to unimaginable. Don't miss this incredible live show of witty, tuneful, original material and outrageous covers of classic holiday songs!
