Consider sharing this quote  when you ask someone in your school community to join your PTA and help you to promote PTA membership.


 

We need everyone to become a PTA member, but is your membership campaign reaching everyone? Many potential members don't join because they were never personally asked.

 

Here are some tips to help you find ways to reach out further and more effectively.

 

Take a look at who is on your list of potential members, and how you can grow that list.

  • Are there past members who have not yet rejoined this year?
  • Are there potential members you neglected to ask, such as involved family members beyond Mom and Dad; teachers and administrators; and local business and community members? Click here for a list of even more people to consider.

Make your invitation to join a personal one. Phone calls from board members are one powerful option.

 

Prepare by having answers when people hesitate to join. Click here for some ideas.
