Members add strength to PTA's voice when we speak up for children in local school districts, in Sacramento and in Washington, D.C.
As the largest and oldest children's advocacy association in the nation, PTA is in a unique position to promote the well-being of all children through supportive laws and policies.
PTA is the only parent group that is part of the statewide Education Coalition, which works to ensure adequate school funding in California.
PTA members advocate for children and youth at all levels of government and in all areas, from education to safety and health. And PTA supports its members with training and other resources so they can become skilled advocates for their own children and for all children.
Our membership reaches far and wide to include grandparents, business leaders, and all those who care about the children and youth of their communities.
