Matching arts grants


 

Apply by May 3, 2010, at PTA.org/ArtsGrants, for Mary Lou Anderson Reflections Arts Enhancement Grants, matching grants of up to $1,000 to enrich students' arts education. Local PTAs in good standing may apply. Special consideration is given to programs reaching at-risk students.

Countdown to convention


Before you go:

  Review the Convention Chronicle: Go over the business of the state organization with your executive board and association. Take votes so delegates can represent your unit at the meetings.

  Elect Delegates: Check your bylaws and Toolkit for information.

 Volunteer! Can't afford to send everybody? Volunteers are entitled to free admission to meetings, exhibits and workshops (space permitting) on days they volunteer for a three- to four-hour shift.

  Convention events:

Candidates forum for Superintendent of Public Instruction, Friday, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Submit questions to spiforum@capta.org.

   FEMA at www.ready.gov, has kits to download and activities for children in several languages.
