What is California Arts Day? The creativity of all Californians is celebrated annually across the state on the first Friday of October. The theme, "The Art in Me," highlights the California Arts Song of the same title. Tool kits, along with fun art activity ideas, are available to help organizations plan their 2009 Arts Day celebration. Promote the California Arts Council sponsored multimedia competition, which invites musicians and multimedia artists to personalize elements of the song "The Art in Me" through:

-

-
a new song rendering (a "cover"), or
-
a combination of all three.
The multimedia contest deadline is March 1, 2010.
