Greetings! As we close the books on 2011, CASA of Collin County is excited to be celebrating 20 Years of Giving Hope to Abused Children.
Since 1991, CASA of Collin County has served over 7,000 children. Since 1997 we've been appointed the guardian ad litem for 100% of the children suffering abuse so severe that they are removed from unsafe homes and placed under jurisdiction of the Collin County courts. CASA of Collin County received distinguished recognition from Texas CASA as one of 6 (out of 69) programs who serve 100% of the foster children from our community. Our collective perseverence, dedication and tireless efforts to advocate for vulnerable children makes a huge difference in each young life we serve. Thanks to dedicated advocates, exceptional staff, strong leadership and the generous support of our community, our program is able to continue to serve 100% of the children each year.
Our CASA program has had to overcome many challenges this year, as well. Our staff, board and volunteers have fought serious illnesses in our own health as well as those that we love. We have lost some beloved family members and friends this past year. However, we have overcome these challenges with an even stronger determination to make each moment count in our lives and in the lives of our precious children served by CASA. In fact, resiliency of the children we serve inspires us each and every day!
As the final days of 2011 come to a close, please join us in our efforts to bring Hope, Peace and a Brighter Future to each child and family we serve.
Together, we can make 2012 a year of great accomplishments on behalf of our precious children! They are our future!
