Greetings! As a resident of Collin County, you are invested in the health and safety of all children in Collin County - especially those who are abused and neglected in their own homes. Today, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) needs your support to continue protecting our children.
WITH YOUR HELP, YOU AND CASA CAN GIVE OUR CHILDREN A VOICE. Protect Our Children
"As a CASA, I know that once I come into a child's life, I can't reverse what has happened, but I CAN make sure they never suffer from abuse again." Deborah Krocheski, CASA Advocate since 1999 Last year Deborah gave two small Collin County children voices. They could not speak for themselves - Jason, a vivacious toddler and Christina, his older sister suffered physical abuse in their home. Jason did not have any life-long physical injuries, but his sister suffered severe brain damage. As their CASA, Deborah helped both children find a safe and loving forever home. Strengthen Our Community "Children in foster care are in state custody. But the state is not a building or a place. We are the state of Texas and we all have a responsibility to speak up for vulnerable children who can't speak for themselves." Susan Etheridge, CASA Executive Director CASA of Collin County saves tax payers $3 million every year by supporting volunteers who serve as a guardian ad litem to 100% of abused and neglected children removed from their homes. During the past 20 years, CASA has served more than 7,000 Collin County children. Give Our Children Hope for a Brighter Future
With a dedicated network of highly trained volunteer advocates, under supervision of casework supervisors, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Collin County speaks up for children removed from unsafe homes due to severe abuse or neglect. CASA serves as the child's guardian ad litem and advocates for the best interest of these children as they navigate a long and lengthy court process in search of a safe and loving forever home. CASA is often the only stable, consistent adult in the child's life, as they encounter changes in foster care placement, CPS workers and a complicated legal system. One voice makes a difference. You can make a difference, too. Or download donation form and mail-in.
