Greetings!
If you missed gala, it was a blast! Guests bid on fantastic trips, gorgeous jewelry, a quilt and so much more. The food was excellent, the band and comedian superb and the auctioneer was a total treat. Our hats are off to Danya Timmons and the members of the gala committee as well as all the volunteers who made the evening such a delight, and of course our sponsors, led by Ewing Autohaus, who made it all possible.
Now it's on to our big move on February 28!

Bidders Take Home Treasures
My Funny Valentine Gala attendees have much to talk about after the February 7 event at Hotel InterContinental.
One lucky bidder is going to enjoy a trip to France to stay in a chateau for a week. Another two are touring the California wine country in chauffeured limousines. Still another purchased a quilt featuring drawings by CASA children - and donated it back to CASA to decorate the new building.
Others took home gorgeous jewelry, large baskets filled with goodies, assorted beauty packages, signed sports memorabilia and paintings.
Partiers dined on beef filet, Chilean sea bass and a red velvet cake tower with the CASA logo replicated in cocoa powder.
Comedian Dean Lewis entertained the group, followed by the smooth sounds of Hunter Sullivan and his band.
A group of 54 volunteers assisted with registration, the silent auction, fun photos, Rapid Raffle, red crystal heart calligraphy and Fund-A Child.
CASA thanks everyone who worked to make this an evening to remember.

CASA Packs Boxes for Move
Workers are rushing to complete modifications for the new CASA building at 101 E. Davis St. in McKinney before the February 28 move.
Formerly Craig International, the building will nearly double the size of the current CASA office and provide a family visitation room, 24 parking spaces, spacious lobby, outdoor visitation and play space and two conference areas.
CASA workers will have separate offices for the first time in several years. In the past, up to three staff shared a single room.
CASA will open for business in the new location on Tuesday, March 3 at 8:30 a.m. Phone and fax numbers will remain the same. |

Golf Tournament Returns to Gentle Creek
Gentle Creek Golf Club, the site of last year's CASA golf tournament, was such a hit with players they resoundingly requested to return for the 2009 tournament.
The date has been set for Monday, June 1 at the Prosper location, with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m.
Channel 8 Sports Anchor Joe Trahan returns as celebrity chair and the committee is headed up by CASA Board Member Jim Gilligan.
Sponsors will be feted at a VIP party at Steve Fields Steak and Lobster Lounge, where they can chat with Trahan.
