If you haven't already wrapped up your charitable giving for 2009, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven and the Valley Community Foundation have put together some year-end tips for you. 

Got a Fund?

Consider making a year-end gift to grow your fund. If you have a donor advised fund, make sure it distributes to the organizations you care about this year. Grant recommendations are approved and mailed weekly. Recommendations received by December 27th will be received by the grantee organization in 2009. Log on to DonorCentral today.  

Start a Fund
If you don't have a fund, consider starting one now. Funds are a permanent way to support your favorite causes and organizations year after year. They're easy to establish and can usually be accomplished the same day. Call ahead to discuss your charitable goals with a staff member. Click here for more information.

 
Give Where You Live

Support our Community by giving to the local non-profit organizations that serve the needy, positively engage our youth, care for the elderly, nurture the creative spirit and strengthen the bonds of community.
