A Happy Person is a Successful Person!
How do you achieve happiness, the kind that lasts all day? Robert Frost wrote, "Happiness makes up in height for what it lacks in length." While this is a beautiful aphorism depicting the spirit of the human condition, there are many concrete strategies to assist you in making happiness go the distance. Here is a sample weekday happiness schedule:

Morning
* If you are jolted out of bed by your alarm clock, you are already starting your day stressed which means anything can set you off. Hit the snooze button. Just a few minutes more in bed and you wake up gently and in control while you prepare yourself emotionally. Savor these "stolen moments."

* Eat a balanced breakfast of complex carbs and lean protein - food and mood go together.

* Change your seat at the kitchen table to see things from a fresh perspective. Don't eat on the run!

* Get up a little earlier and reap the mood-elevating benefits of an quick outdoor walk.

* Use your daily commute as an opportunity to listen to motivational or educational material. Nothing lifts the spirit more than personal growth.

* Greet every person you see with a smile. Happiness is propelled by numbers. When you are acknowledged, you feel validated and energized. Pay it forward.

Afternoon
* Keep in mind the correlation between food and mood. Eat a balanced lunch. Exercise during half of your lunch break to move stress out of your body and increase focus to avoid that afternoon slump. You can walk, stretch or do exercises that use the body's own resistance. Your ability to find solutions will improve.

* De-clutter every afternoon. The day's chaos accumulates to weigh you down. Clear out your desk, your fridge, a drawer, the mail or your pocket book to liberate your energy.

* Have a late afternoon healthy snack to keep energy levels at peak performance. Drink a hot liquid like herbal tea to signal relaxation. You can't gulp a hot liquid.

Evening
* Unwind and enjoy your personal space with happiness rituals.

* To help you unwind before sleep and release toxins: First put your feet in a pot of hot water (a temperature you can tolerate) for one minute and then immediately place them in a pot of cold water for thirty seconds. Repeat this cycle 3 times. This hot/ cold treatment releases toxins from your feet - the body's foundation. The heat circulates the blood; the cold water reduces the swelling. The cold pulls out toxins and the heat brings blood and nutrients in the expansive phase.

* Don't eat after 10:00PM or 2 hours before you go to bed - you don't want your body working to digest food while you are trying to sleep.

* To unwind before sleep: instead of that endless to-do list playing in your head, how about a "Look what I did today list!" Sweet dreams...

What is Your Purpose?
It is critical that there is a primary purpose behind every salesperson and company. This primary purpose always and axiomatically leads to great success, business, wealth and personal fortune.With it, you will always succeed. You make it virtually impossible not to succeed. I would say, actually, that you make it 100% impossible to fail when you infuse everything you do, every action you take, every service you provide, every transaction you conduct, and the way you conduct it with this primary purpose behind it.

If this is absent from your business, you are destined to continually struggle growth-wise, sales-wise, cash-wise and fulfillment-wise. Worse, your customers and clients will not receive the greatest benefit he or she deserves.

The primary purpose of any sales person or company-huge, medium, or tiny-is to provide the highest degree of service, value and result to every person or organization that inquires of you, asks for advice from you, and buys or sells a property with you.

This is your purpose. This is your highest, truest, and most rewarding mission as a business owner or sales professional. You see, the success of your business has nothing to do
with you. It has nothing to do with any self-serving desires to attain success and wealth and recognition and freedom and fulfillment from your activity. These self-attainments are one or more of the major reasons you have created the business you've created. And they're important reasons.

But they should NOT be, and cannot be, the primary reason. Your primary purpose MUST BE to serve every individual who is drawn to you, in whatever way, and for whatever reason, at the very highest and best level you and your company can manage.

Be crystal clear, your success and mine has nothing to do with you or me. Your success is ONLY and EVERYTHING to do with your customer or client. It is ALL and ONLY about them, not you or me. Your self-serving interest, or mine, has no influence at all on what will draw customers or clients. None at all.
 
The ONLY attribute that will draw customers to you is the VALUE and RESULT that you provide and through, or as a result of, your service, When you make utmost value and tangible result your primary purpose in business, you will discover customers are drawn to you in their hundreds, mostly through word of mouth and referral. It's simple to understand why. Imagine you are, right now, the BEST provider of real estate services in your market. The very best. Nowhere can people or organizations go to receive a higher, better-value, greater, more satisfying result than they receive each time they work with you.

The minute that's the case, and my friend, or neighbor, or colleague, or business associate tells me of the astonishing value and result he or she received from your service and I am in the market for the same-that's the minute you turn your entire business and entire effort into a glorious success, and a sustainable success. Because, why on earth would I, or the hundreds, or thousands of others in the market for real estate services, go to a lessor or unknown provider?

I, and they, wouldn't, in most cases. I would buy from you, because you have come highly recommended. I have been told of your unusual caring, your unusual degree of genuine interest and desire to provide every customer with tangible value and result from their transaction.
 
Every morning, take just a minute or two to remind yourself what your primary function in business is: to serve and deliver actual result to your customer or client. Your customers will recognize your purpose and actions, and will revere you for them, and reward you with their ongoing opportunities, and recommending of you to their family, friends, colleagues, associates, for weeks, months and years to come.
