Oak Lawn Newsletter - Friday, Sept. 4
Greetings!
CEDAR SPRINGS BEAUTIFICATION BENEFIT & GALA Friday, Sept. 11
The Cedar Springs Merchants' Association and The Round Up Saloon will host a Fundraiser benefiting the Cedar Springs Beautification Project next Friday evening. Our continuing goal is to beautify and revitalize the "Cedar Springs Strip" with modifications such as new street lighting equipped for event signage, the cobble-stoning of sidewalks and crosswalks, uniform landscaping and trees throughout the block, appealing benches and trash receptacles, possible gateway arches announcing entry into our entertainment district, plus much more. The Cedar Springs Merchants' Association recognizes that the time is now to rejuvenate our neighborhood and to reclaim Cedar Springs as the most eclectic entertainment district in Dallas . The benefit will revolve around a live underwear auction, the underwear being modeled by an assortment of Dallas ' handsome and buff young men, a silent auction consisting of a variety of items and services, as well as plenty of good food, drink, and entertainment. VIP tables for four can be reserved for $100.00. There will also be plenty of room free of charge for those who prefer to bid and mingle throughout the evening.
