DALLAS PRIDE PARADE EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR PARADE ENTRY AND
FESTIVAL VENDOR APPLICATIONS
The Dallas Pride Parade has extended the application deadline for both Parade Entries and Festival Vendors to Friday, August 14th. If your business or organization would like to have an entry in this year's parade or have a vendor booth at the festival in Lee Park, then you still have time. Executive Director, Michael Doughman, has announced the extension by the Dallas Tavern Guild with NO LATE FEES being assessed to the late filings. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR PARADE WEB CAST

Sunday, Sept. 20
Oaklawn.TV and Oak Lawn Newsletter, producers of the Dallas Pride Parade web cast, are seeking volunteers to assist with this year's production. No experience is necessary, although helpful.
And here's some exciting news... the 2009 Parade web cast will be featured nationally on the Pride Radio network ( www.prideradio.com ). Be a part of this exciting day showcasing the Dallas and North Texas GLBT community.
Please email us or complete the volunteer form on the Pride Parade web site. The Parade and Festival are also calling for volunteers to assist in the day's events.

VOICE OF PRIDE CONTINUES  Final Round

Voice of Pride 2009 sponsored by the Dallas Tavern Guild has selected the finalists! The final round will be held on Sunday, Aug. 16 in the Rose Room. The top five finalists win cash prizes and the winner gets $3,000 plus a trip for two to Hawaii courtesy of Delta Airlines and Orbitz Gay Travel.

BIG D CLASSIC

In a tradition dating back very nearly to the 20th century, bowlers from all around the country descend upon Dallas, Texas in the middle of August to beat the heat and engage in a little friendly competition, all while raising money for a good cause. That event is the Big D Classic bowling tournament.
We expect this year's tournament to be our biggest ever, with people traveling to Dallas from all over the world. Be sure to submit your entry as early as possible to guarantee that space is reserved for your team. The Big D Classic is an International Gay Bowling Organization-affiliated tournament.

Isabella is very sweet and friendly. She is good with kids and other pets.
