Pet of the Week
DFW
Humane Society GG is a Lab/Pit mix female that has been spayed. She is about 3 years old weighing in at 45 lbs. She is Black with White markings and reason for surrender: Found as a stray. "I almost always has a big smile on my face, especially when friendly people come to pet me or my volunteer pals walk me! I am energetic, easy going and friendly to everyone I meet. I love to meet new people and give them doggy hugs. I am such a good dog that it is hard to believe that I was found wandering the streets with no home to call my own. I had no food or shelter. The nice person who found me said I was a good girl and that I was housebroken. She brought me here, where I have lived with my doggy friends warm and safe with food and shelter every night.
I suffer from what some people call black dog syndrome. For some reason, black dogs are often the last to be adopted, which is the only thing that would explain why I have been here for almost two years."
If you can adopt GG and give her a good home, please contact the DFW Humane Society at 972-253-3333, or check out one of the many other pets that need a home by visiting their web site.
