Greetings!

DALLAS JOINS EARTH HOUR 2009

Saturday, March 28
8:30 pm Local Time
Earth Hour - 8:30 pm Saturday, March 28

Join the thousands of communities around the globe in this effort to raise awareness about climate change...

What is Earth Hour? Earth Hour is 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm (local time) Saturday, March 28, 2009. During this hour, people around the globe will turn out their non-essential lighting in what will be the largest climate event in history. From Amman to Warsaw, city skylines will go dark for one hour as individuals, businesses, government buildings, schools and major landmarks turn out the lights.

Who can participate? Anyone! Individuals, businesses, schools, organizations...you name it! If you have a light switch-turn it off for this one hour. Earth Hour's goal is 1 billion participants in 1000 cities around the world.

Dallas and Arlington residents throughout their cities are encouraged to turn off their lights for the event. The central focus of Dallas' Earth Hour celebration will be the downtown area - watch the famous Dallas skyline dim.

Want to join? Sign up to participate and be counted! Visit http://www.earthhourus.org/ and click on the orange "Sign Up Now" box.

COMPUTER VIRUS EXPECTED
APRIL FOOL'S DAY
Wednesday, Apr. 01

On April Fool's Day (Wednesday, April 1) the Conficker C computer worm is expected to activate. The worm lets a master computer take over infected zombie PCs. It's unclear what the program's author plans to do with all the power.

It is estimated that millions of computer are already infected awaiting for the worm to set in motion.

The most effective precaution is to make sure your computer has the latest updates from Microsoft. Make sure your computer is set to receive automatic updates. Or, in your Internet Explorer browser, click 'tools' then 'windows update'. Users who haven't gotten the latest Windows updates should go to http://safety.live.com if they fear they're infected.
