Oak Lawn Newsletter - Friday, August 8th

Greetings!

Heat on the Street in Oak Lawn      116 in Oak Lawn
"Heat on the Street" took on two different forms this past week in Oak Lawn. First, on Sunday evening we caught the temperature outside Walgreen's at Oak Lawn and Cedar Springs. This was one day in a string of more than 20 days where the highs have reached 100 or above.

Then on Wednesday night, it was "Heat on the Street" again as the Cedar Springs Merchant Association presented First Wednesday. Yes, it was hot, but the crowds came out for the monthly event which included the Scavenger Hunt gift basket which was won by Wes.
First Wednesday Scavenger Hunt winner - Wes

The San Francisco Vacation for Two was won by Wes Morrison of Plano and the $1000 Cedar Springs Shopping Spree winner was Stephen Tisinger of Dallas.

The next First Wednesday is scheduled for September 3rd. Mark your calendars now!
DVD winner from Oak Lawn Network
Danny Peterson won a 4-DVD set of Gay Classics from the Oak Lawn Newsletter. His name was drawn from all those who signed up to recieve our weekly newsletter.
