Round Up Saloon Celebrates 28 Years

Oak Lawn Newsletter salutes the Round Up Saloon on their upcoming 28th Anniversay as they have a week-long celebration to thank their customers and staff for their loyalty, patronge and support. The parties begin next Sunday (the 27th) and run thru Sunday, August 3. The festivities include several nights of Karaoke, plus Wednesday Texas Hold'em and Wii Bowling and a "Stop Light Dating" party hosted by the Edge Radio on Thursday, July 31.

Dallas Lesbian Festival

The second annual Dallas Lesbian Festival will be held Saturday, July 26 from 3pm - 8pm in the parking lot at 3009 Throckmorton. The festival will benefit the Resource Center of Dallas' Family Violence Program and Rockin' for Rescue. Rain or shine, there will be food, drink, fun and surprises. And yes, it is pet-friendly!
All girl bands will be performing on the stage, featuring Sarah Bettens. Also performing will be Anton Shaw, Ciao Bella and Kathy Corbin. Tickets are $10 presale and $15 at the gate. A limited number of presale tickets are on sale at Sue Ellen's.

The Human Rights Campaign presentes Project Fruit Bowl 2008 on Sunday at USA Bowl, 10920 Composite Dr. from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Online ticket sales have now ended. Please call John at 214-676-2425 if you wish to confirm an open lane. You may also try to buy your lane or individual ticket at the door. Come early as we expect a sold-out event. Check in is at 1:00 pm and Bowlers Strut will take place at 2:00 pm.

Voice of Pride

The 2008 Voice of Pride competition is coordinated by the Dallas Tavern Guild. Preliminaries have been held for the last few weeks and the Semi-Finals are now at hand. The first of two is scheduled for Sunday night at the Round Up Saloon, 3812 Cedar Springs Rd. To reserve a table for Semi-Finals call the Round-Up Saloon (214-522-9611).

Seara is a Female, spayed Shepherd Mix, about 45 lbs. and about 3 years old. She is tan in color.
Reason for Surrender: Military leave.
Seara is housebroken, good with kids and other pets. She is active, friendly and playful. Please help Seara find a good home since her previous owner has been called to duty.
