Please be aware of your surroundings, especially late night. The following robberies alert was posted in today's Dallas Morning News:
Dallas police investigators believe the same men are responsible for at least five armed robberies or attempted robberies of residents in the Uptown area within the last two weeks. Armed with handguns, two or three men have targeted residents in parking garages, on sidewalks and at banks, police said.
Detailed descriptions of the men, who wore ski masks or stocking masks, were not available. They may have been driving a white Cadillac Escalade in one incident, police said. The men have taken cash and other property.
The robberies began early June 21, when three armed men approached two people from behind in an apartment complex parking garage in the 2800 block of McKinnon Street, according to a Dallas police report. Other robberies include incidents in the 3000 block of Bookhout Street, at a bank drive-through in the 2600 block of Cedar Springs Road and later in a bank parking lot in the 2100 block of North Pearl Street.
