Even though the 2008 Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS is three months away, the Dallas Kick Off Party will take place next Sunday at Salum Restaurant (4152 Cole Ave.). The event is 2:00 - 5:00 pm and musical entertainment will be provided by 'Lovie'. The Ride is scheduled for September 27-28 and benefits AIDS Outreach Center Tarrant County, AIDS Services of Dallas and Resource Center od Dallas. It that time of the month again....
the next 'First Wednesday on Cedar Springs' sponsored by the Cedar Springs Merchant Association. The sales and special offerings pour out into the street for this monthly event. Included in the June affair will be "The 50/50/50 Event" sponsored by Buli Cafe. 50 Artists donating 50 Paintings and all for $50 each. This is the 3rd year of MetroBall and is the primary fundraising event of GDMAF. Monies raised goes to support five North Texas HIV/AIDS agencies by providing monies for emergency needs. GDMAF will assist over 150 people and distribute over $50,000 in 2008. The event will include the aerial artistry of Neal Everett along with DJ "Frankie Ice".

 

Tickets: $20 advance, $25 door, available online and at Skivvies on Cedar Springs. VIP packages are available with exclusive access to private VIP room, reserved parking and light appetizers proved by Hector's on Henderson. Raffle Tickets are also available for $5 each or 3 for $10 with a chance to win a 37" HDTV Flatscreen TV.
