Dear Friends, 

It's that time of year again.  Time to reflect on our accomplishments of the past year with a focus on our goals and commitments for the year ahead.   There is always renewed momentum in the New Year to make positive changes to our health and lifestyle and what better month than January to try a new class or set a fitness goal.  Not only will you feel great, there's no better way of warding off the winter blahs than with movement and exercise.  We are thrilled to share with you what's new for the coming term.  We have listened to your feedback and have geared up to offer you some great new programs this term.  From our family to yours, we wish you all the best in 2009!

Winter Schedule
January 19th- March 9th (8-week session)
 
All group classes are sessional and pre-registration is required.  Sorry, no drop-ins.  Registration deadline January 16th.  Call or email the studio to register or for further information. 

Yoga Collective 
 
We are pleased to be offering classes at two locations.  In addition to our programs at the studio on Mornington Street, we will be offering a number of Pilates classes at The Yoga Collective at 42 Wellington Street. Visit www.yogacollective.com for further details and class descriptions.

What's new at the Studio?
 
Group Functional Conditioning Program
 stabilityball 
Anyone can make you sore,  but can they make you strong?  Back by popular demand, we've designed a program which incorporates a circuit of functional conditioning exercises that are sure to challenge!  This intermediate/advanced athletic workout combines cardiovascular and conditioning equipment in a circuit based format which utilize both aerobic and anaerobic metabolisms.  Class size is limited to 4 participants to ensure proper posture and technique throughout the entire workout. 
 
  
At Bodyforme, we believe in an integrative and holistic programming approach.  Our studio is fully equipped with Pilates, strength training, and cardiovascular equipment to optimize your health and fitness goals.  Our services include individual, semi-private, and small group training sessions incorporating various exercise and movement modalities designed to achieve your conditioning goals.   
 
Can't make any of the scheduled classes? 
If you have a group of 4 people, we can book a class that suits your schedule. 
  • Individual training sessions available.
  • Semi-private sessions (train with a friend or family member).

About the Trainers

 
Improving health and fitness involves a personal evolution that does not happen instantly.  At Bodyforme, we offer a professional, multi-disciplinary scientific approach to conditioning intended to provide safe, efficient results.  Our commitment to integrity and quality is paramount.
 
Our trainers hold the most respected certifications and credentials in the industry including degrees in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Michigan and the University of Toronto.  We hold post-graduate accreditations including the Clinical Training in Mind/Body Medicine from Harvard Medical School and graduate courses in Exercise Science from the University of Toronto.  We are registered with the Ontario Kinesiology Association, and we are certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise, and Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CFC) and Stott Pilates.  As former competitive athletes, we have represented Canada internationally in running, track and field, duathlon, and cycling.  We look forward to sharing with you our passion for movement and and the empowerment of sport.
