The figure shows motor neurons within the lumbar spinal cord of the rat, stained with the anti-rat p75NTR antibody, MC192 and HRP-conjugated secondary antibody. Upregulation of p75NTR is seen in motor neurons ipsilateral to a sciatic nerve injured (by crush) 7 days earlier, whereas un-injured motor neurons on the contralateral side contain no p75NTR.

Primary motor neuron cultures from mouse E12-13 embryos, stained with MLR-2 Atto488 conjugates, showing p75NTR expression 3 days after plating. The unconjugated MLR-2 antibody was used to purify the motor neurons using a panning method.

Immunofluorescence staining of fixed adult mouse brain sections. Basal forebrain cholinergic neurons were incubated with with MLR-2 (1:2000) antibodies, followed by Alexa 594 secondary antibodies incubation.
