Neurotransmitter Enzymes Antibodies

Greetings!

Welcome to the biosensis newsletter.

This issue highlights some of our well characterized antibodies against proteins involved in neurotransmitter synthesis pathways important in Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD) and other neurodegenerative disorders that are characterized by the loss of cholinergic and dopaminergic neurons in the brain. Dopamine Beta
Hydroxylase
anti-DBH biosensis Ab
Immunohistochemical staining of Dopamine beta-Hydroxylase (DBH) in guinea pig brain stem. This antiserum has been extensively characterized in several laboratories. It reacts with a single band on western blot of bovine adrenal homogenates and stains only cells known to contain DBH, such as sympathetic neurons, adrenal medullary cells and central adrenergic neurons.

Tyrosine
Hydroxylase
anti-DBH biosensis Ab
Immunohistochemical staining of catecholaminergic neurons in the rat brain stem. This is a superb antibody for detection of tyrosine hydroxylase containing neurons exhibiting an intense labeling with a negligible background. This antiserum has proven extremely useful for staining of catecholaminergic neurons. It stains nicely and intensely dendritic processes and fine nerve terminals.

Choline
Acetyltransferase
Rabbit ChAT
Immunofluorescent staining of rat basal forebrain cholinergic neurons using rabbit anti-ChAT primary and Cy3 secondary antibodies. This antibody has been used for detection of cholinergic synapses across the nervous system. It stains both cell bodies and nerve terminals. This antibody has also been used to stain motor neurons in the rat spinal cord.
