Greetings!

Just a couple days ago, I took the overnight train to Kiev to meet a group of Tucsonians from Vail Christian Church. One more overnight train brought them back to Donetsk to help us with a few building projects at the church on the shelter and ministry/outreach projects in the area.

This morning I can hear the thunder outside and see the rain hitting the roof of our patio. It reminded me of how much we need your prayer to make sure that this trip is a profitable trip for everybody involved. If you want to follow their trip and pray for them more specifically, you can go to azrocks.yodis.org and click on Journal or simply click on the picture below.

Our Friends From Tucson Are Shown Here With Eric & Some Of The Interpreters Who Will Be Helping During The Next Ten Days

Fall is here and soon the leaves will be changing. Buckeye trees have already started and their chestnuts litter the ground. We are working hard to make sure our church planter will be able to move to the city by the end of the year. The task looks herculean, but with your prayers we know that nothing is impossible.

Below you will find our prayer and praise requests. We definitely need more prayer right now and until the end of the year as we work through this critical stage of the ministry. As always... thank you for praying!

Prayer - Praise

Prayer Needed:
  • For Ira and her two grown boys as they grieve the loss of husband/father who died a week and a half ago.
  • For the young people from Tucson who are here ministering and helping build the church on the shelter. Pray for their ministry at a local boarding school for hearing impaired, at a children's shelter, and at a public school in a nearby city.
  • For us to have the strength and energy to keep up the ministry and be great hosts to a bunch of great young people.
  • For wisdom to know how to proceed with the church planting training program with some changes in our partnership with the Baptist Union.
  • For personnel and resources necessary to finish the church on the shelter before winter.
Praise Offered:
  • That Ira's husband had made peace with God during the last few months of his life.
    Imani & Friends
They don't speak the same language, but somehow these three girls found a way to bond.

  • For relatively good Fall weather that is allowing us to get much done at the church on the shelter.
  • For God's grace in giving us really wonderful church partners in the states and in Ukraine.
