Greetings!
This has been a summer of intense building and ongoing ministry as Donetsk experiences one of its hottest summers on record. Temps have been reaching as high as 100 degrees Fahrenheit which is positively unbearable for the average person here. Since our last update, we hosted a team from two churches in Arizona which constructed and insulated the ceiling, built some walls and some relationships. Last Sunday, the 12 of us in the core group took a tour of the facility. We were all deeply encouraged by the progress that has taken place. Does anybody know how to get sunflower pollen out of white tee shirts? | The church planter training program is set to start up again for the current student's second year of training. Our new partnership with the Baptist Union has gotten off to a rocky start this first year and we will be needing to make significant changes. This will take wisdom and humility for everyone involved in order to work in a spirit of unity. It has been a great summer and we were sad to see Charity go back to the states, but she is doing well. Grandpa is giving her lots of opportunity to practice her driving skills before going back to college for her second year. Below you will find our prayer and praise requests. We definitely need more prayer right now and until the end of the year as we work through this critical stage of the ministry. As always... thank you for praying! Eric & Beth

Two Weeks Left
To help Yura move to Donetsk to help plant the church, we need extra prayer and sacrificial giving. | We are almost there! Construction at the church on the shelter is happening at a rapid pace and could be ready for our church planting national, Yura, and his family within the next 2-4 months.
However, we are running low on funding and could be dry within the next two weeks. We have made application for a low-interest ministry line of credit that should enable us to finish the parsonage apartment, complete the documentation, and move the family to the new facility. With your help, we can accomplish all this without dipping into the line of credit.
By faith we are moving forward in the spiritual and physical aspects of the ministry. As you pray, ask God what role he would have you play in the building of the church on the shelter. If you attend a partnering church, please talk to your pastor or mission's director before donating to the ministry. To donate online, click on the picture of Yura and family above. To donate by mail, send check to WorldVenture: SP 6433-904, Operation Donetsk. Address: 1501 W. Mineral Ave., Littleton, CO 80120.

Prayer - Praise
Prayer Needed For Individuals:
- For Ira, who is on our leadership team and whose husband is deathly ill.
- For Genna, whose recent surgery has left him open to the Gospel. His mother is a new believer.
- For Nikolai, who longs to be needed.
- For the cop who is searching for another job and for fulfillment in life.
- For Valentine, whose conscience haunts him from his days as a soldier in Afghanistan.
- For a dozen alcoholics that gather each morning across (diagonally) from the church site.
Prayer Needed In General: - For our students who are studying in the church planting training program, especially that they would be able to put into ministry practice the things that they are learning at this training event.
- For personnel and resources necessary to finish the church on the shelter before winter.
- For wisdom to be able to hold together a fragile partnership with the
largest Evangelical organization in eastern Ukraine.
Praise Offered: - For the 5-man building team that came from Arizona at the end of
June. They got much accomplished and glorified God in the process.
Charity in a field of Sunflowers. |
- For Charity who had a great summer in Ukraine and is back in the States getting ready for her second year of college. Today she takes a test to get a driver's license and goes to the voting booth as well.
- For the ability to enjoy summer in Ukraine with its miles upon miles of sunflower fields.
