Greetings!

Last week we asked you to pray for four students who were severely food poisoned. We are pleased to report that all have recovered and the one student who was hospitalized was released from the hospital on Saturday. Thank you for praying!

Our training session was postponed and we are currently seeking a new time and venue for the next session. The pastor of the hosting church is concerned that this not happen again and is looking to rebuild their kitchen facilities. As of this writing, we don't know exactly what caused the incident or what the conclusion of the government inspectors is going to be. We are confident there is no malicious intent, and the cooks were more horrified than the rest of us.

We received a wonderful response from you and know that many of you are praying. We greatly appreciate your participation in the ministry. Below you will find our current prayer and praise requests. Thanks for sacrificing your time to take these requests before the throne of grace.

Prayer Needed:

For working out an agreeable time and venue for the next training event.
For wisdom to be able to hold together a fragile partnership with the largest Evangelical organization in eastern Ukraine.
For resources and personnel needed to build the ministry and the physical construction of the church on the shelter.
For successful resolution of all building documents.
For a 5-man building team preparing to come from Arizona at the end of June.

Praise Offered:

For the healing of the 4 men food poisoned last week.
For the safe arrival of our daughter, Charity, to Donetsk.
For several successful relationship building ventures*.
For the lowering of the water level in the basement facility of the church on the shelter since pumping began.

That wraps up this update. Since our last major letter, we made the transition to the Ukrainian timezone and have already spoken and sung in a school, youth conference, five churches and just this past Sunday we participated in a huge celebration of the "400th Anniversary of Baptist(ism)". This is part of a bigger picture that helps us build relationships with the Evangelicals in our area and provides us the audience to cast vision for church planting throughout eastern Ukraine.
