Yodis In Ukraine
Special Prayer Request Update.
Tuesday, May 18, 2010

Greetings!

This year we have partnered with the Baptist Union in the Donetsk Oblast (Province) to offer our program of church planter training as part of their Missiology program of study. They brought four students to this partnership and we have 15 currently studying. The four students studying in their program started studying yesterday (Monday, May 17, 2010) and were slated to begin studying with our students when they begin their studies tomorrow morning. That was the plan until about an hour and a half ago.

Today all four Baptist students were severely food poisoned presumably by the kitchen staff of the program and one of these students is still receiving an I.V.  His condition is uncertain. We have called all 15 of our students as well as our teachers and have canceled this week's training and have asked them to pray for the four students that have been sickened.

Here are some hastily thrown together prayer requests. Please pray as the Lord leads you and as always... Thank you for praying.

Pray:
  • For the four students who are sick from the food poisoning.
  • For the government's department of health to find the root cause of the poisoning.
  • That much would be learned by those who handle the food and those in charge of this aspect of the program.
  • For the 15 students who were supposed to start tomorrow as many have had to request off of work and studies to come.
  • For the reputation of both programs of study so that the future of the ministry is not hindered.
Praise:
  • That this happened today and not tomorrow when 19 students would have been studying.
  • The 15 students who were supposed to study tomorrow have been called and have responded with understanding in a brotherly spirit of love and prayer.

Gratefully,
