Greetings!
Thanks so much for praying for us and the ministry since we sent our last update. As pictured above, (left) Eric's travels to the Colorado office went well, (center) Charlie and Beth were kept safe in Donetsk even though Charlie experienced a bit of confusion regarding the white stuff (hail) that fell out of the sky long after winter was over, and (right) Charity has been quite busy with getting ready for life after high school. There is much to praise God for, but I am short of time as you will see when I share our prayer requests with you.
Here are our prayer requests for June:
- Construction is beginning on the foundation of the church on the shelter. We need lots of wisdom and lots of funds for the project. Pray also that God would give grace as we build the ministry at this time as well.
- Oleg and his wife, Lena, are filling out documents so that they can take legal guardianship of a child. Last year you prayed for them as their newborn had died and then Lena almost died from complications that left her baren. Legal guardianship in Ukraine is something more than foster care and yet less than adoption and always requires much patience while jumping over legal hurdles.
- There is hope that Yura and his wife, Lena (not the same Lena mentioned above), are in line to receive a home in Donetsk to help them expand their role in working with children. Pray that God would lead in this and do what is best for them and His ministry.
- Safe travels and a great time of celebration as we drive out (leaving tomorrow, May 29) to Germany to join Charity for her graduation from BFA. We will be spending extra time there packing and shipping her stuff to the states before returning to Ukraine.
- During this next week, Charity will be taking her exams and saying lots of goodbyes to people she has grown exceptionally close to. Pray for strength to finish well.
- Praise God for a group from Tucson, AZ that is making plans to come help the ministry here in Sept/Oct for a couple weeks. Pray for their and our preparations.
We have not had much time to update yodis.org, but hopefully will during the next few weeks and will let you know about that in the next ministry update. We couldn't be doing what we are doing without you lifting us up in prayer, so please... keep up the good work.
