Yodis Family In Eastern Ukraine

Greetings!

The current economic crisis has scared many people in America and Ukraine and perhaps with good reason. In Ukraine, many estimate the current unemployment rate at 60%.  Of those who are employed, many have had to take a cut in pay or are three months behind in receiving their wages. The price of housing is approximately 50% of what it was before the crisis. The very prospect of these things happening in America has caused many politicians to panic and therefore make hasty decisions without adequate research.

Here is a message for Christians: Don't Panic! Don't Be Afraid!  Your security is not found in a piece of green paper printed by men, nor is it found in stocks or bonds. Your security is found in knowing Jesus Christ and by the comfort of knowing that He can not be taken away from you. If you have money, you can be taxed. If you have land, it can be confiscated. If you have stocks, they can lose value. If you have life, it can be snuffed out.

The ONLY way for you and your children to have guaranteed wealth, health, life and happiness is to have it in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Investing in the kingdom of God brings spiritual wealth that never loses value. Growing close to Christ brings spiritual health that can't be broken. Eternal life can't be taken away and happiness only intensifies with each sacrifice we give from a joyful heart.

Today many Christians are storing extra cash in their bank accounts in case of further economic trouble, but what will that money do for them when hyper-inflation reduces their dollars to pennies. In a few years when we begin to reap the chaos that we have sown with our national spending and debt, our money will be worth nothing and our priorities will be exposed. Don't Wait Until Your Money Is Worthless To Invest It In The Kingdom Of God!  There is no better time then the present to get our priorities straight and begin living a life of faith.

Thanks so much for your prayers for us and our ministry in eastern Ukraine.
Blessings,
             Eric & Beth

Irma's Homegoing
One Dirty Angel
Irma-The Woman Who Must Have Fallen On An Angel
Irma Davis went home to see her Savior on April 6. Irma and her husband, Len, were enormously encouraging to us during our first few years of ministry in Ukraine and may be credited for helping us hang in there when times were tough. God took Irma home during her sleep at the age of 63 and thus spared her the debilitating effects of the Alzheimer's disease that was causing memory loss for the last couple years. To many of us, Irma was an angel, but not the dirty angel I mentioned above. Click on the picture above to read the poem I wrote to honor this special servant of our Lord and find out who the Dirty Angel really was.

Quick Facts:
Eric, Beth and Charity Yodis moved to eastern Ukraine in June of 1995 where they began studying the Russian language and the local culture.

In 1997, Eric took the helm of Project 250 Donetsk, a fledgling ministry focused on church plant multiplication. In 1999, he passed the ministry baton to a local Ukrainian director and a couple years later the ministry morphed into a fully licensed and registered Mission Society.

Since 1997, 25 churches have had their beginnings rooted in the training program Project 250 Donetsk and its mission society, Spiritual Renewal of the Donbas.

Since 2005, the Yodises have been focusing on church planting in the big city of Donetsk through P.R. (vision casting) and the planting of a church which is still in it's early stages.
Beth's Picture...
Beth's picture at the top of this letter was taken in our backyard this very morning. We are looking forward by faith to an excellent crop of apples from our apple tree.
