Setting Powerful Goals: Step Eight |
|
Now for the final step in setting powerful goals.
Let's review what you've done so far:
- You've come up with something that you desire with all your heart. We called this your Ultimate Motivating Force™ (UMF™).
- Then you looked at your life and chose at least one general area that's very important to you.
- Inside of this area, you invented between one and three things that you want to accomplish in that area. We called these Motivating Outcomes™. (You probably saw that your UMF and this step overlapped at least somewhat.) This Motivating Outcome satisfied a set of 10 criteria which ascertained the power of the item you chose.
- Then you came up with Motivating Goals™, the accomplishment of which would allow you to to accomplish your Motivating Outcome(s).
- Finally, you listed all the obstacles and possible solutions that would allow you to overcome those obstacles.
Now you need to create a plan to implement the solutions from step #5.
- What do you need to do?
- When can you do it by?
- What is your structure for accountability?
- What would it be like for you to accomplish your Motivating Goal, and how would that move you toward your Motivating Outcome? (Remember, everything you do should be empowered by what you want to achieve in the area of life that's important to you.)

Now, go ahead and repeat this process for everything you want to accomplish (all of your Motivating Goals)!
Have a great week!
