Sales Secret #36

The Power of Transformation: Family
Strange topic for a sales tip, no?

Not really. As your family goes, so go the other aspects of your life. It is hard to have an awesome family and be a failure at work; likewise, it's darn near impossible to have a deteriorated or dysfunctional family and be genuinely thriving in your career.

As I write this, it's a few days before Christmas, a day to celebrate and be grateful for your family, friends, God ... and yourself.

In honor of this holiday, I'm going to do something unusual. I'm going to pull out a few choice quotations for you to think about.

Quotes:

Families are the compass that guide us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter.
- Brad Henry

I know why families were created with all their imperfections. They humanize you. They are made to make you forget yourself occasionally, so that the beautiful balance of life is not destroyed.
- Anais Nin

The happiest moments of my life have been the few which I have passed at home in the bosom of my family.
- Thomas Jefferson

In family life, love is the oil that eases friction, the cement that binds closer together, and the music that brings harmony.
- Eva Burrows

You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.
- Desmond Tutu

Your family and your love must be cultivated like a garden. Time, effort, and imagination must be summoned constantly to keep any relationship flourishing and growing.
- Jim Rohn
