Dear ,
Can you believe it is already September? Hard to believe fall is around the corner ... but I would take this week's weather anyday!
September marks back to school for some of our clients ... some with big smiles as their kids get on the school bus ... and others, like myself, a little sad their kids are now old enough to be going to school! My oldest starts Kindergarten this year and I have to say, it makes me a little bit sad.
In any case, we wish all the students a very healthy and safe new school year!
Sincerely,
Jennifer
& The Entire Clean Team Staff
P.S. Our company will be closed on Monday, September 7th, 2009 for Labor Day. |

Special Labor Day Offer for our E-mail Subscribers!
We are offering 15% off our Oriental & Area Rug Cleaning services through September 18th, 2009. See Details Below.
Did you know that woven rugs, especially hand knotted rugs, are designed to hide dry soil?
A few years ago, the Eureka company did a study and found that a 9 x 12 could hide 85 pounds of dirt! WOW! We use a variety of techniques to "dust" the rugs from the front and back. The picture below illustrates just how much soil can be hiding in an area rug.
Drop your area rug(s) off at our facility or have our technicians pick them up for you!
See details of the offer at the bottom of this
e-mail.

Certified Cleaner - Does It Mean Anything?
In shopping for cleaning, you may have noticed the word "certified" being used in advertising. You may have seen a logo being used to feature certification. What does this mean to you as a client? Would you be surprised to learn that most cleaning companies have no formal training? That they are not required to be licensed? That there is no requirement to have any certification whatsoever? Is training and certification important? After all, isn't cleaning a "menial" task that anyone can perform?
Working with your valuable carpets, rugs, and floors should not be taken lightly. The Clean Team holds certifications in Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, Oriental Rug Cleaning, Leather Cleaning & Protection, Odor Control & Carpet Color Repair to name a few.
Actually, a carpet cleaning professional is working with one of your most valuable assets. Should it be trusted with just anyone? Unfortunately, our industry is full of "rogues" that only care about how much money they can get from you, and nothing about the life of your carpeting. They do not care about the industry in which they work. Have you ever noticed that in many states, air conditioning companies, plumbers, and pest control companies are required to be licensed? Not so for carpet cleaners. Fortunately for you, and for me, there are many fine people in the carpet cleaning industry that realize the standard must be raised. Those of us in that process help to police our own industry. In order to do this, associations and certification organizations were created.
One such organization is called the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification). This organization provides certification courses and exams for the carpet cleaning industry. By attending these courses, carpet cleaners are taught about fiber identification, carpet construction, cleaning chemistry, cleaning methods, and professionalism.
These valuable concepts equip them to choose the proper procedures for cleaning your carpet. The certified firm is on the cutting edge of technology and change in our industry. A certified firm knows the right way to apply cleaning procedures and chemistry. A certified firm is working together with other certified firms to raise the standard of carpet cleaning in general, therefore providing you with a higher quality product.
A low priced carpet cleaning company simply cannot provide the most advanced, guaranteed cleaning technology at a low, low price. Something has to be cut from the picture. The Clean Team obviously offers all of these benefits and more.

4 Easy Steps to Clean Up A Spill On Your Carpet and Area Rugs (without damaging them)
STEP 1: Cover spill with WHITE napkin, paper towels or cloth towel. DO NOT use colored or printed paper! It might transfer onto the carpet. Be sure to use a THICK stack to absorb as much of the spot as possible STEP 2: Blot by stepping on stack of towels.
REPEAT THIS PROCESS UNTIL NO TRANSFER TAKES PLACE. DO NOT RUB!!! STEP 3: Apply Spotting Agent. Warning: Do not use "over the counter" spot removers! They can leave a sticky residue that attracts soil and may discolor your textiles. Our "Spot Out" cleaner can be used or call us to find out what spotters are recommended. STEP 4: REPEAT Do not over-wet the spot. Keep blotting until dry to the touch. You may then repeat all above steps. If the spot does not come out, do NOT attempt any further action, as you may set the spot and or damage your textiles. Instead, give us a call.
Please keep in mind that some spots, like an oily substance, require professional care.
