College Goal Sunday

UAFS Campus

Baldor Technology BLDG.

Sunday, February 19th

2 p.m. - 4 p.m. 

College Goal Sunday Event will be held on the UAFS campus on February 19, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Baldor Technology Building at 5210 Grand Ave., Fort Smith, AR.  It is a one day event held throughout different sites in the state of Arkansas to help students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Arkansas Universal Scholarship Application (YOUniversal).

Students should try to bring the following information to this event:

-The PIN received by going to www.pin.ed.govat least one week before College Goal Sunday. A PIN is needed for both the student and at least one parent.

-Your latest tax information (2011 Tax Returns) for both you and your parents. If you don't have your 2011 tax forms yet...come to College Goal Sunday anyway.

-2011 W-2 Forms

-Social Security Numbers

-Amounts of untaxed income received in 2011

-Amounts of child support received or paid in 2011

-Knowledge of your checking and savings account balances

-Knowledge of the worth of other family assets (other than your home)

-ACT Scores

-High School G.P.A. 

 2011-12 Elementary Yearbooks!

It's not too late to order a 2011-12 elementary yearbook!  They are $25 each or $27 with your child's name added.  

We also need pictures for the yearbook! (Ex. field trips, class parties, activities, etc.).  You can send them on a flash drive, CD, SD card, via email, or upload them at: Yearbook Pic Uploads

Union  Yearbooks

The UAFS Academy of the Arts is currently enrolling students for spring in all areas including preschool musikgarten, private music lessons, art classes, instrumental ensembles, theatre, and choral ensembles.  Students from pre-school through high school are encouraged to register now!

We would LOVE to get your students involved!!  There are a variety of options for scholarship or tuition assistance.  We don't ever want the lack of finances to stop a child or teen from discovering fine arts.

SCRIPS Cards are still available for purchase in the administration office! 

For special orders needed on Friday of the same week, please place orders by Tuesday.  Please note that cards are reloadable!

72 Union Christian Academy FBLA members participated in this year's FBLA District Conference/Competitions February 1^st at the Ft. Smith Convention Center.  Competing against 36 other schools in the district, Union Christian made quite a showing!  Union Christian won 1^st place for Largest Chapter Membership Market share.  21 students walked across the stage during the awards ceremony receiving top five finishes advancing them to the FBLA State Competition in Little Rock on April 2^nd and 3^rd.  Overall, we had 34 competitors recognized in the top ten results.  A special thank you goes to our Guest Advisors who are always willing to sacrifice their time to help:  Dawayne Murdock, Paige Spradlin, Linda Harrison, and Joyce Burton.  Thanks also to our transportation specialist Mr. Carter and Mr. Clark!

The Thanksgiving Break will be only 3 days in the coming 2012-13 school year: Wednesday (11/21), Thursday (11/22) & Friday (11/23).  Also, the final date for kindergarten graduation is still pending.
