Colonial Market
3rd grade students displaying items from their studies of colonial and Native American life in the Jamestown and Plymouth colonies during the 1600s.
On Tuesday, December 6, the combined third grade classes of Mrs. Polhemus and Mrs. Kelly presented a Colonial Market to their families. The classes had been studying the way of life of colonists and native Americans in the Jamestown and Plymouth colonies in the 1600s. Students displayed candles, tools, food, weaving, nets, and other items from their study. Visitors were encouraged to take the name of a Mayflower passenger to begin the evening and then discover their fate at the program's close. The students presented a Readers Theater of the Plymouth Colony to end the evening.
