Greetings!
.
Did you know October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month? To spread the word, and raise more money for research, we're gonna sell a ton of pink wine this October! Rosé never really goes "out of season" but it's time once again to make room for our autumn favorites and holiday selections. Throughout the month of October, all rosé (both from the Garden and beyond) is a full 20% off. As always, a portion of every rosé sale is contributed directly to the fight against breast cancer. With your rosé-lovin' help we've raised over $12,000 so far!

Rosé Limerick Contest 2012
And the winner is...
They've done it! Their judgement is final. After weeks of pouring through the thousands of entries (not really) our judges have agreed on the best of 2012:
Bronze medal winner 2012:
When I'm wrecked from the stress of the day,
And my Doc claims,"An apple a day..."
Yet I like other fruit,
So when I take off my suit,
I have a bottle-sized glass of rose!
- Brian D. (2 bottles of DAILY priced rosé)
Silver medal winner 2012:
Rose' gets its blush from grape skin,
Whereas my blush comes from within
If I drink enough glasses,
I get the "hot flashes"
And my clothes all end up in the bin
- Susan J. ($30 Enomatic card)
And the winner is...
Gold medal winner 2012:
Wine Authorities' fine lads and lasses
Bring knowledge and joy to the masses;
The wine loving tribe
That comes there to imbibe
Sees the world through rosé-colored glasses!
- Sylvia P. ($50 gift certificate)
Thanks again to the thousands (re: dozens) who entered and to our judges (Billy & Kelli Cotter from Toast Paninoteca & Land Arnold from Flyleaf Books) Please frequent their wonderful businesses. You'll be glad you did!

Tasty Tuesday!
"Silly for Sicily"
This Tuesday, October 9th, we present our mid-week FREE wine tasting. Every Tuesday is tasty! From 5:00 - 7:00, we host this bonus tasting of three wines to get you through the early week and land you safely on hump day!
While it's true that we've previously described ourselves as "silly for Sicily," that silliness is seriously reaching a fever pitch. With several new selections and more on the way, we thought that we'd take the opportunity to introduce a few of them to you. At this week's Tasty Tuesday, we'll be sampling the latest vintage of an old favorite, the Casa Ibidini Insolia as well as two exciting (and uniquely Sicilian) reds from Calò Giordano which are completely new to the United States.
And don't forget:
Tasty Tuesday 20%
Mixed Case Discount!
After you taste, put together 12 bottles from our Tasty Tuesday lineup, and we'll take an entire 20% off!

Discover Slovenia's Brda!
 | Brda's Oton Reya & Borut Reja |
Slovenia's Brda, a region whose name can be translated roughly to "the hills," borders (and can be thought of as a continuation of) Italy's more famous Collio appellation. It excels in the production of both whites and reds, representing an exciting new frontier mostly undiscovered by many wine lovers. This Saturday, fall in love with Brda's fabulous flysch, marl, and sandstone terroir and Adriatic climate as seen through the lenses of three exotic, minerally whites and a robustly elegant red that has quickly become a staff and customer favorite!
(WEEKLY WINE: $12 to $19.99)

(Brda, Slovenia)
PEAR, ELEGANTLY SUBTLE & FLORAL, DELICATE VANILLA Ribolla Gialla, an indigenous grape with some 700 years of history on both the Slovenian and Italian sides of the border in the gloriously hilly vineyardscape that is Brda/Colio, excels at focusing its white fruit and subtle perfume into minerally whites with firm acidity and a confident whisper of...
On Sale $19.99 [Full description]
(WEEKLY WINE: $12 to $19.99) Borut Reja "Quartet" 2010 {organic} Ribolla, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay (Brda, Slovenia)
CITRUS, TOPICAL FRUIT & SMOKY MINERAL, CLEAN Brda, within Slovenia's western Primorska region, borders and continues Italy's revered Collio appellation. Much as is the case in Collio, it excels in the production of elegantly mineralistic whites, often including striking representations of French varietals such as Chardonnay...

(MONTHLY WINE:$20 to $49.99) Movia Pinot Grigio 2008 {biodynamic} 100% Pinot Grigio (Brda, Slovenia) RIPE, TROPICAL & EXOTIC. IMPRESSIVE HONEY & NEW OAK. Considered a leader in the border region of Italy and Slovenia, Movia has been farmed for centuries, but only in the last ten years have they gained international acclaim. Their "black label" wines are aged to perfect maturity before release. This Pinot Grigio is influenced by (and as big and rich as) the great... On Sale $29.99 [Full description]
