Greetings!
Summer is here!
And so is a plethora of cool new wines...
Today is the first full day of summer (its having officially begun at 7:09 last night), and the temperatures outside have made sure that the season's advent won't go unnoticed! Thankfully, we have not only the Ros Garden to help stave off the heat but also welcome the beginning of the annual Summer of Riesling, a season-long celebration of the refreshing acidity, bold minerality, and unparalleled complexity that call Riesling home. At our Saturday tasting this week, we'll be pouring four of our favorite Rieslings, and we'll be featuring wines made from the noble varietal all throughout the course of the next 94 days! What's more, we have a long queue of exciting new selections from around the globe that we can't wait to introduce to you over the course of the following weeks and months.

Tasty Tuesday
This Tuesday, June 26th, we present our weekly "Tasty Tuesday" FREE wine tasting. Every Tuesday is tasty! From 5:00 until 6:30, we host this FREE bonus tasting of three wines to get you through the early week and land you safely on hump day.
Among the many new arrivals nestled throughout our shelves and stacks are some very exciting wines from Spain. Three, in particular, represent not only some of the Iberian nation's less explored regions (which also happen to be among our favorites) but also unprecedented value. Join us for a tasting of a Verdejo from Rueda (one of Spain's true capitals of white wine) as well as both a Godello and Mencia from Galicia. Each of these wines clocks in at a "daily" or low "weekly" price range, and we couldn't be more excited to count them among the many outstanding Spanish values at Wine Authorities!

This Saturday from 12 to 3 PM
"try before you buy" at our FREE tasting
Summer isn't just about running through sprinklers and trying not to burn yourself on the dashboard of your car. It's about Riesling! For every garden plant that you struggle to rescue from relentless heat, there's a fabulously refreshing and captivating glass of Riesling waiting just around the corner! For our first summer tasting of 2012, we're celebrating the fifth "Summer of Riesling," an international grassroots movement dedicated to returning Riesling to its rightful place as the most noble white grape of all. This Saturday, we'll be pouring exceptional examples of the varietal from some of its most celebrated origins including Germany, Austria, Washington State, and New Zealand, so join us for a Riesling-guided world tour!
