top Greetings!

School is (almost) out for summer!
School's Out

School's almost out for summer (it's essential that you imagine Alice Cooper singing this) but we have one more class planned to share with you before the season of Rosés and Riesling takes Durham by storm yet again.  We love our classes, but with warm weather swimming in gorgeously refreshing whites and crisp Rosés, we can't exactly expect our restless pupils to give us their undivided attention! We did, however, schedule one more class before summer begins in earnest.  Please see details below.

Tasty Tuesday
TEMPRANILLO TUESDAY 2
This Time, it's Personal
This Time, It's Personal
This Tuesday, May 22nd, we present our weekly "Tasty Tuesday" FREE wine tasting.  Every Tuesday is tasty!  From 5:00 until 6:30, we host this FREE bonus tasting of three wines to get you through the early week and land you safely on hump day.
Last September, Tempranillo Tuesday took a certain 5 to 6:30 PM by storm.  Now, Tempranillo is back with a vengeance and calling in the reinforcements.  With an ensemble cast of selections from both Portugal and Spain, grown, produced and bottled on location, this is guaranteed to be an action-packed afternoon of Aragonez goodness.
(Not suitable for audiences under 21)
Vine to Wine
Our final class before Summer break!
Classroom
On Thursday, June 7th, we present our in-depth introductory wine class.  7:33 - 10:00pm

An evening of wine chronicling a vine's bud break in the spring to each of its grapes being lovingly squeezed into the bottles that we hold so dear.  We cover how vines grow, how wine is made, how to read a label, how to buy wine, how to store wine, how to drink, er, taste wine... and we'll debunk many wine myths throughout this short two+ hour class.
(includes tasting wines, video presentation, and handouts)

$36 per person
Reservations required

Gigondas
The Southern Rhone:  As recently as ten years ago, it lingered in the shadows of Bordeaux and Burgundy, remaining a region of France perhaps held back by just how extraordinary the values it produced could be.
Today, having rapidly gained recognition not only as a hub of ripe Mediterranean reds of impressive complexity but also as a source of diversity and elegance.
Join us this Saturday for a look at four very different wines which continue the Southern Rhone's longstanding tradition of value while showcasing the heights that the region reliably reaches vintage after vintage.
