Many of Burgundy's most famous regions exist along the gentle slopes of the Cote d'Or. The exalted whites of Montrachet and Meursault as well as the exceptional reds of Vosne-Romanée and Gevrey-Chambertin have earned imposing and tantalizing reputations, but wonderful Burgundy doesn't have to break the bank!
Over the course of the next week, we'll be looking at the region's southernmost and northernmost edges for some of Burgundy's best values (and some exciting rarities). A special tasting event Tonight!
We're kicking off the arrival of several small New Zealand wineries to the US with a special mini-class on the wines of New Zealand including a tasting of eight of their selections. Join us for a 30 minute class giving you a solid foundation on Kiwi wine, followed by an hour of tasting and casual chit chat.
Importer and friend-of-the-store Eric Platt will be on hand to give us first hand accounts of four of the five wineries that have joined up to form Pacific Prime Wines, an importer to promote and sell their wines in the US. It's a great opportunity to be among the first in the US to taste some of these wines!

This Tuesday, April 24th, we present our weekly "Tasty Tuesday" FREE wine tasting. Every Tuesday is tasty! From 5:00 until 6:30, we host this FREE bonus tasting of three wines to get you through the early week and land you safely on hump day.
Closer geographically to Champagne than to the collection of regions to the south which comprise the remainder of Burgundy, Chablis and Chitry produce focused wines with famously elegant minerality. Three varietals are represented from these regions this week - Chardonnay from Chablis, an Aligoté (the other white Burgundy™) and a Pinot Noir from Chitry.
