top Greetings!

From dirt to shirt:
"Wine From Farmers Not Factories"
  Just arrived!
Our new t-shirt has just arrived and it's the stylish and comfy way to say you don't drink junk!  You prefer artisan wines from the farmers who work the land themselves.  And maybe you even like our little wine shop too.  ; )
Our shirts are made with cotton grown in North Carolina and the shirt itself is made in North Carolina, then printed by our friends at T.S. Designs in Burlington, NC.  Sooo soft and pre-shrunk, you have to touch one of these with your own hands.
$15.99 each, and available in Brick (reddish) or Dark Cement (dark gray) with off-white images.

New Arrivals from Mas de Libian
Mas de Libian Thibon sisters
Sisters Hélène & Catherine Thibon with Nestor the horse
It appears that quite a few of you have already noticed the gorgeous wines of Mas de Libian.  Our early arrivals, "Bout d'Zan" ($14.99) and "Khayyam" ($19.99) rapidly established themselves a veritable fan club of devotees including Rhone enthusiasts who purchase them by the case.  We've now just received both the estate's flagship wine "La Calade" $39.99, and its stunning, stupendous value, the "Vin de Pétanque" $11.99 (soon to be our most highly sought-after wine we predict.)  So stop in and learn more about the game of Pétanque, the fantastic wines from the Southern Rhone, and of course (horse of the year) Nestor!

Tasty Tuesday
For Goodness Sake!
Fuji & Sakura
This Tuesday, April 10th, we present our weekly "Tasty Tuesday" FREE wine tasting.  Every Tuesday is tasty!  From 5:00 until 6:30, we host this FREE bonus tasting of three wines (sakes in this case, actually) to get you through the early week and land you safely on hump day.
For our first ever wine-free Tasty Tuesday, we'll be featuring three of our favorite sakes, each quite different from the last!  We'll start with a very subtle selection before moving on to a more aromatic offering and finishing with a hedonistic unfiltered delight!  Come and have a look at just a few of the various faces of sake which you may have been missing.  Banzai!

This Saturday from 12 to 3 PM

Mediterranean Beachscape
The Mediterranean Sea provides climates which are among the world's most nourishing for the vine. The growing regions fortunate enough to be influenced by the Mediterranean enjoy unparallelled consistency and safety from many adverse conditions.  This week, we'll be sampling a small and diverse collection of Mediterranean wines - a lithe and refreshing white from northeastern Spain; a zesty Provençal Rosé and a very exciting new Rhone red from France; and a ripely powerful Shiraz from Israel (which is perfect for Passover.) So let's don our swimmies and wade into the wine paradise that is the Mediterranean!

Pinchinat Rosé Domaine Pinchinat

Cotes de Provence Rosé 2010

Served very cold, this goes down very easily (and quickly) just as it would in the land where it's grown. Picture this: you and your love with your closest friends gathered around a small table with a yellow and saffron table cloth. It's dusk.
