CultureCulture Fest: Saint John 225
Events for the whole family, including live performances, children's activities and great food.

The mandate of Culture Fest 2010 is to celebrate the many cultures and people that make up the City of Saint John. It is the second of four summer festivals hosted by Saint John 225, the City of Saint John's 225th anniversary celebrations.

Culture Fest 2010 will be held in the Fisher Lakes area of Rockwood Park.

Summer is just around the corner. School is winding down and Tot programs are ending for the season. Wondering how to fill those Summer days? We have some ideas, in this issue, we have included a listing of some great Summer Camps and fun ideas for Day Trips. Right now we have 4 great contests going on in the forum. The details are in this newsletter.

Our  Event Listing, is full of fun Summer Activities. We have spotlighted a few fun upcoming events; the Zany Lane CD release Culture Fest and Chili on the Beach

This month we would like to introduce; Go-Go Gymnastics. They recently have started offering Summer Camps and Classes to the Greater Saint John Area.

Contests4 Great Contests
  For the month of June we have 4 great contests you can enter. Each Contest has one or more prize packs available to be won.
  • Contest #1 is for those with Children under the age of 3. To enter post in the Forum, about the following topic: A lot of summer activities are geared for older kids. How do you occupy your little one in the summer? One prize pack can be won in this contest
  • Contest #2 is for those with Children Aged 3-6. To enter post in the forum about the following topic: What are your tips for those starting school/preschool in the fall? There are 2 prize packs to be won for this contest.
  • Contest #3 is for those with Children over the age of 6. To enter post in the Forum about the following topic: How do you celebrate the end of the school year with your family? 2 prize packs can be won in this contest. 
  • Contest #4 is a contest for all ages! To enter post in the Forum; feedback and suggestions on Next year's sjkid FAIR. Suggest new activities, entertainment, businesses or organizations for next year. One prize pack is available.
All contests run until June 30th and can be entered multiple times. Winners will be Announced July 2nd. Enter today, lots of prizes to be won!
FAIR2nd Annual sjkid FAIR
sjkidfairWhat a great time, was had at the  2nd Annual sjkid FAIR, last month. Thousands of you came out for a day of Free Family Fun and Entertainment! We had a great time putting on this FAIR for the community.


Everywhere, you looked kids were having fun; out on the Boardwalk touring ambulances and firetrucks, in the Atrium dancing and watching all the great Main Stage performances, inside the Trade and Convention Centre. bouncing in the bouncy castles and interacting with the booths. Parents got a chance to visit 58 booths of local organizations and businesses. Peo
ple left with information, free samples and painted faces.
