Fun Winter Activities - indoors and out

Clay Cafe- located in downtown, the Clay Cafe offers the budding artist a place to be creative
Sleigh Rides - Sleigh rides are a great way to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors in winter with your children.
Sliding and Skiing- if weather permits, these are two great activities to do with your kids and enjoy the outdoors.
Skating- Check our calendar for public skate times at one of our local arenas
Art Galleries and Museums - Take advantage of the beautiful galleries and museums in our city. The Beaverbrook, Science East and the New Brunswick Museum always have something fun for kids!
Fredericton Public Library and the Nashwaaksis Public Library - have ongoing daily programs for kids ages 0- teen.

Snowball Cookies

You will need:

1 12 oz. white chocolate chips

1 ½ cups walnuts or peanuts, chopped

1/2 cup dates, chopped

16 cherries, cut in half

How to Make It:

1. Cover a cookie sheet with wax paper.

2. Melt chips in microwave for 1 minute.Continue in 20 second intervals until melted.Stir until smooth.

3. Stir nuts, dates, and cherries into melted chips.

4. Drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheet to form snowballs.

5. Place half cherry in center of each ball.

6. Allow to set in refrigerator.

The Parents and Tots Music Education Program

Experience music with your preschool aged children! Join the Parents and Tots Music Education Program. With two convenient locations at The Charlotte Street Arts Centre in Fredericton and The Hazen Centre in Oromocto, this 8-week music appreciation course promises to be a fabulous experience for both children and parents alike. Our innovative "design as we go" educational materials allow us to meet the needs of all members of the class. And the BEST PART is that we will write and record a song about every child in the program! Our special introductory rate is only $80.00 for eight 45-minute sessions. That fee includes all course materials and the final CD. We have classes to accommodate most families, even those with infants! Classes begin in January 2010.
