The New Year, is a great time to make positive changes. The sjkid team have been talking about ways to be more active this year, both on our own and with our kids. This issue is dedicated to finding fun ways to stay active this winter! We have included great ideas for getting moving, both outside and in! And have a great contest that will reward you for being active!

Indoor Winter Activities

Looking for some great indoor activities to do with the family?
Aquatic Centre: Has public swims
Indoor Skating: Many rinks are offering free skates and special tot skates
Bowling: Great family fun, while getting great exercise
Indoor Play Centres: Both play centres structures are physically challenging. Parents & caregivers are encouraged to go in and play with the kids.

January Get Active Contest!

 This January we are going to encourage each other to get active! Starting with this Great Contest, where you could win a 5 visit pass to the Yoga Outlet. Every time you engage in a physical activity, by yourself or with your family, post it in the Get Active Contest in the Forum. It can be something as simple as a walk or as hardy as cross country skiing. Each time you post, you are entered in the contest. Contest runs until January 15th @ 9am.
