Summer
is just around the corner. Are you wondering what to do with the kids
this summer? In this issue we give you some ideas for planning summer
fun! We have included information on some great ideas
for Family Day Trips. We
had our 3rd Annual fredkid FAIR on May 8th & 9th, 2009, over 5000 people attended, see this issue for some photos
from the event. Also in this issue is a list of June events and details about our June Contest.

Summer Daytrips
|
Looking for somewhere to take the kids this summer, that's not too far away?. There are some great places to go within 2 hours of our city! Click on any of the links below to get more information.
Greater Fredericton - Less than an hour from Fredericton is Atlantic Salmon Museum, Kings Landing Historical Settlement and the Mactaquac Generating Station.
Saint John - is only 1 hour away and has a great zoo, the New Brunswick Museum, Irving Nature Park and coming July 1st a new indoor playground called "Just Play"!
St. Andrews - is about 1.5 hours from Fredericton and has a great beach called "Katy's Cove", Kingsbrae Garden where everything is from a kid's perspective, and The Huntsman Aquarium.
Moncton - is 1 hour and 45 minutes from Fredericton. Moncton also has a zoo, Magic Mountain water park and Crystal Palace indoor amusement park.

Highlights of June Events
|
- Canadian Environment Week- June 1st -6th, different activities being held throughout the week. fredkid encourages you and your family to walk and/or bike at least twice during this week!
- New Maryland Days- Saturday, June 6th, held at the Athletic Park near New Maryland School, lots of fun for the whole family
- Moms on the Move - every Tuesday morning and Thursday evening, a chance for moms, dads and caregivers to get out and get active with their little ones!
- UPS Kids Tennis Day-Saturday, June 13th, a great way to introduce your child to Tennis
- Bob the Builder Live! - @ the Playhouse, 2 shows 1pm & 4pm
- Marysville Days - June 19th-24th, lots of fun and activities for all
- Zig Zag-June 29th the City's Playground Program begins

New June Contest!

 Our June contest will start on June 8th until June 13th. Send us a video of your child doing something musical. This could be singing, dancing, playing an instrument even pots and pans!!
One winner will be chosen to receive a voucher for a full session of Kindermusik with Megan! This is a fabulous prize so get those cameras rollin'! |
