Recent studies have shown that more people check their text messages before email or voicemail. It's quick and easy to read and respond almost anywhere (but not driving.. that's just not cool). So if you aren't texting your candidate pool about open jobs, announcements or other communications you could be lagging behind your competition. How you communicate is just as important as what you communicate.
If you upgraged within the last 12 months you have access to FREE texting withing Avionté. Set up is pretty quick and sending a text even quicker.
Admin Tools Setting:
To give a User permission to send text messages, go to ConfigOption > User (or Group) > User_UserSetting > AllowTextMessaging = True
When the value for this property is True, users will see a new column "Service Provider" in the Employee's Contact Method. The Service Provider column must be filled out in order for the phone to be able to receive text messages. This is a great way to designate who has given the "ok" to recieve texts from your company. This can also be incorporated in the Online Application.

To enable the Service Provider field for the specific Contact Methods (such as Cell Phone 1 or Cell Phone 2), go to ConfigChoice > ChoiceProperty tab > Select a Category of EmployeeContactmethod > find the value you would like to enable the field for (for example, Cell Phone 1) and make sure the SendText column has a value of True:
You are now ready to send out the text message. Texts can be sent from Advance Search under Actions. These will go out via your email one at a time or as a BCC depanding on what you choose. They can also be sent out from the individual Employee record. Just like email, both of these will be logged in the Message section.
Send text messages to your Customer Contacts too!
