Recently I received a question about how to make Avionté more task focused. This particular user did not understand that you could do just that within the Message section. Not only can you turn a message into a task, but also a calendar item too!
Most of our users utilize Message to document conversation, emails, show availability, etc. Any time you create a message you have the option of making it a Message, Task or Appointment. Message will show in the Message section. Task will show in the Message section AND create a task for you (or another user if you assign it to them) Your tasks will show up either in your task section or on the horizontal panel of your Start Page (depending on how you have it set up).

Calendar works much like task in allowing you to push out the message to your (or another users) calendar. Simply create the message, choose Appointment, and the date and time. It will automatically attach to your calendar, but you can add it to another user's calendar as well. If you don't want it to show on yours, right click on your name and delete. Remember, it will still show in the Message section.

Using the Message section to track all your Tasks and Appointments will keep everything within Avionté and keep you from duplicating work by copying and pasting to your task list or calendar.
A few ideas on how to use this:
Sales Team:
Create a task for another user (or you) to follow up after a visit. Now you have documented your visit and created the follow-up task.
Manager:
Schedule appointments with Customers and add them to your staff's calendar's too. Again, you have documented the event and put to notice on the calendar with a single click.
Staffing Specialist:
Create and manage your interview schedule that is visible to other members of the team. They can add interviews to your calendar too!
