Level I Mentoring in Soulful Living and Empowerment
2008-2009
"Few experiences have been as transforming for me as participating in the Mentoring Program. I have greater inner freedom and expansiveness--a 'bigger' sense of myself, in which the daily challenges of life seem less significant. I continue to experience a growing sense of peace and acceptance of what life has to offer in each moment. I am happier and more loving. In short, this has been one of the greatest blessings of my life!"
Katherine Sherman, Solana Beach, CA
Our mentoring programs are among our most rewarding (and popular) programs. We are thrilled that close to 300 people have chosen to participate in these powerful and transforming programs.
We have a few openings in the Level I mentoring program that begins November 15, 2008 and concludes April 27, 2009. The program, Mentoring in Soulful Living and Empowerment, is lovingly led and guided by Bill Bauman. This three-weekend program is an in-depth mentoring experience that helps participants, in a small group setting, to connect more powerfully with their own souls -- and the very soul of Life itself -- and experience the unlimited power, rich love and profound wisdom of that soulful nature. In Bill's words "Our goal is full empowerment, clothed in the sacredness of our soul's loving truth." For more information or to register,

CSL 2008 Retreats
We have three special retreats scheduled for 2008, and we are excited to offer you these sacred experiences. There will be two silent retreats -- the first, July 26-29, at Bon Secours Retreat Center in Marriottsville, Maryland; the second, October 3-7, in the beautiful Joshua Tree, California desert. The third retreat is our sixth annual winter retreat at Zion National Park in Utah.

July 26-29: East Coast Silent Retreat
We are thrilled with the tremendous response we have received about the Maryland retreat. We are so looking forward to experiencing the richness of sacred silence which will be facilitated by Bill Bauman's strong, blessing-filled presence. The retreat is full for rooms at Bon Secours and we are now only able to offer space to people who are willing to stay elsewhere.
We want to extend our deep appreciation to the Bon Secours planning committee who have worked joyfully and tirelessly to plan all the details for our first silent retreat. Our heartfelt thanks go to Pam Marlado, Ellen Anderson, Bill Wolf, Kathy Farinholt, Debbi Brown and Sharon Johnson. We are so grateful for your help.

October 3-7: West Coast Silent Retreat
Our second silent retreat, also led by Bill Bauman, will be held at the beautiful and serene Joshua Tree Retreat Center in the high desert of Southern California, October 3-7, 2008. The land is a powerful fusion of sweeping desert vistas, mountains and centuries-old Joshua trees, and the retreat center is silent and welcoming -- a lovely combination to support the experience of the power of silence for renewal and spiritual expansion.

| CSL Trainer/Mentor
It is our pleasure to introduce to you
who is certified as a Trainer/Mentor for the Center for Soulful Living. We want to offer our sincere congratulations to Gene who has recently been appointed as a full-time chaplain at Valley Hope Treatment Center in Kanas City, Missouri where he helps residents with the spiritual aspects of recovery.
Gene has been a member of our CSL family for many years and has blessed many of us with his keen insights and practical wisdom about life, especially in the area of relationships. Gene artfully and soulfully combines common-sense pragmatism with depth, insights and caring. We are thrilled that he has found this new "niche" where he will be able to guide and bless those in his care.
Gene is retired from an international labor organization that represents people in the transportation industry, and lives in Platte City, Missouri. Contact Gene at 816-262-0157 or mkmetatron@aol.com.
