Welcome to our June Newsletter!
We warmly welcome you to this month's sharing. It is our privilege to connect with you, our CSL family, each month and share the latest news about the many soulful and exciting offerings we have for you.
This month we are featuring the three retreats that we are offering in 2008 -- two silent retreats and our sixth annual winter retreat at Zion National Park. We are including some details about the Sacred Sites of Buddhism journey to Thailand and Cambodia in early 2009, and we invite you to consider joining the newest Level I mentoring program that is now being formed. We are happy to present this month's trainer/mentor, Denny Unger; and, finally, we have an update from Bill about his health.

CSL 2008 Retreats
We have three special retreats scheduled for 2008, and we are excited to offer you these sacred experiences. There will be two silent retreats -- the first, July 26-29, at Bon Secours Retreat Center in Marriottsville, Maryland; the second, October 3-7, in the beautiful Joshua Tree, California desert. The third retreat is our sixth annual winter retreat at Zion National Park in Utah.

July 26-29: East Coast Silent Retreat
We are happy with the tremendous response we have received about the Maryland retreat. We are so looking forward to experiencing the richness of sacred silence which will be facilitated by Bill Bauman's strong, blessing-filled presence. The retreat is almost full (we have 8 rooms left) and we invite you to register soon if you feel inspired to join us.
Please contact Kathy Farinholt at kathy.farinholt@verizon.net or 410-719-9689.

October 3-7: West Coast Silent Retreat
Our second silent retreat, also led by Bill Bauman, will be held at the beautiful and serene Joshua Tree Retreat Center in the high desert of Southern California, October 3-7, 2008. The land is a powerful fusion of sweeping desert vistas, mountains and centuries-old Joshua trees, and the retreat center is silent and welcoming -- a lovely combination to support the experience of the power of silence for renewal and spiritual expansion.

Level I Mentoring in Soulful Living and Empowerment, 2008-2009
"The mentoring process is a way to be loved back into who you are. It's time out for your soul - a must for any human being on the planet to be more fully expressed, more authentic, and even more joyful and full of life."
--Jill Lublin, Novato, California
We are now accepting applications for the Level I mentoring program that will begin November 15, 2008 and conclude April 27, 2009, lovingly led and guided by BIll Bauman. This three-weekend program is an in-depth mentoring experience that helps us, in a small group setting, to connect more powerfully with our own souls -- and the very soul of Life itself -- and experience the unlimited power, rich love and profound wisdom of that soulful nature. In Bill's words "Our goal is full empowerment, clothed in the sacredness of our soul's loving truth."

An Update on Bill Bauman I thought it only appropriate (and unusually sensitive of me) to bring you up to date on the meanderings of my health and well-being over the past several weeks. First, I want to thank the many of you who sent me such touching expressions of unity and support over these weeks. The spiritually beautiful, above-the-forest picture is this: the gradual download of my "higher self" or infinite light that has been making itself an intimate part of me over the past months is now fully completed, and with a bang. I'm privileged to say that the new me is now totally here, with its mystical and visionary qualities in place and its more powerful transformational nature lodged in my core. I'm humbled and honored--and ready to boogey once again. The physical and medical rituals that have accompanied this wondrous transformation--complete with their rich symbols and meanings--read, I must admit, like a Jerry Seinfeld sitcom. A minor stroke, a surgery to repair a hole in my heart, another surgery to remove an inflamed gall bladder, two separate and unrelated drama-filled runs to the emergency room with a liver that was quickly shutting down (each of them hosting me to an intimate visit with that special space where life meets death), and (as a special topping) a nice bout of pneumonia. The drama of it all has been equally physically gripping and spiritually inspiring in the same breath. As you might imagine, the entire ritual has, to Donna and me, been a touching, sacred and powerful ceremony. We are in awe of the creative nature of this mighty, life-changing transformation, and feel so peaceful as we now re-engage with life--and you--in fresh and beautiful ways. My gratitude goes out to Donna, who for these past weeks has been my hero, nurse, advocate, voice, chef, caretaker, chauffeur and lover par excellence. And my gratitude goes also to Elinor who has taken over for me while I've been "otherwise preoccupied."
I join you anew in a fresh embrace, as we journey together into our shared and exciting future.
--Bill Bauman
