We warmly welcome you to our March newsletter. We've received such wonderful feedback from so many of you about how helpful and convenient our new format (this newsletter) is for you--thanks so much.

We're especially excited to share our CSL soulful activities with you this month. Below you'll find an exciting announcement of a brand new program and opportunity for you--certification as a CSL Minister of Soulful Living. Then you'll read about our first-ever silent retreat on the East coast. We'll also update you on our progress in finding a new physical home for CSL--we're already calling it the "CSL Retreat Center." There is exciting news about weekend seminars that will resume around the country in 2009. And, we're privileged this month to inform you of the offerings of another of our CSL trainers/mentors, an exceptional woman by the name of Judy Szamos.

Most of all, we want you to know that this newsletter is about you, because you are the very heartbeat, soul and life force of this presence called CSL. We treasure, honor and thank you for enriching our lives daily.
CSL Minister of Soulful Living Training

We have been inspired to offer you a new soulful training program--one that will certify you as a CSL Minister of Soulful Living. We've designed it for those who are looking for expanded purpose in their lives by ministering soulfully to others.

The purpose of offering our new program is to provide you with a soulful style of dedicated service in a specifically ministerial or priestly role. Upon completion, you'll be able to function as an official minister--performing spiritual ceremonies (e.g., weddings, funerals), leading spiritual services (e.g., prayer and meditation groups, Sunday services), and providing pastoral care to those with soulful needs.

The training is open to anyone who has completed all three levels of CSL mentoring programs and will be provided during one four-day weekend. Our first training will be held October 17-20, 2008 in St. George and will be co-facilitated by Bill Bauman and our own Rev. Debbie Brown.

East Coast Silent Retreat

Our first silent retreat is scheduled for July 26-29, 2008 at Bon Secours Retreat Center in Marriottsville Maryland. This beautiful and spirit-filled center is on 313 acres in a rural setting tucked closely into the outskirts of Washington DC and Baltimore Maryland. We are excited to offer you this special opportunity to spend sacred days in silent communion with your soul amidst the abundant blessings of nature.

The retreat will be facilitated by Bill Bauman who will give three inspirational talks daily and create individual time for each person to receive his silent hands-on blessing. We invite you to experience the power of silence supporting your personal renewal and spiritual expansion.

For more information, including details about vacationing in the Washington/Baltimore area before or after the retreat, contact Kathy Farinholt at kathy.farinholt@verizon.net or 410-719-9689 or visit

Bill Bauman is happy to announce that he will be "on the road again" next year offering an expanded schedule of soulful, empowering weekend seminars.

He plans to offer seminars in the following cities in 2009: San Diego; Austin; New York City; San Francisco; Chicago; Baltimore/Washington; and Florida (location to be determined). We are also planning an event in Asheville, North Carolina.

Volunteers have already offered to sponsor Bill in most of these locations. We are, however, still looking for sponsors in New York City, Chicago and Florida. If you are inspired to volunteer your services and/or would like more details about sponsoring Bill in one of these areas, please contact Elinor Hall at elinor@aboutcsl.com or 435-656-2783.

CSL Trainer/Mentor

We would like to introduce Judy Szamos, a CSL Certified Trainer/Mentor whose business, "Working Soulfully," is a reflection of her expertise and her passion for business and soulful connection.

Judy has an extensive background in business, psychology and high-level marketing, in addition to her work as a nurse and a therapist. In her capacity as Vice President of Marketing for a major health care corporation, Judy developed a set of skills that includes strategic thinking, business development, comprehensive problem solving, marketing and a keen understanding of the human psyche.

Judy has trained and mentored individuals and groups by helping them connect with who they really are and bring that essential authentic self into their life and work. Her current offering, "Working Soulfully," is a natural extension of her mentoring experience. Today Judy helps people align what they do with who they are by guiding them to translate their passion into action, find the core realness within, and take practical steps in the world.

Update on a Home for CSL

Our search for a physical home for CSL continues at a lively pace.  We feel strongly that an already divinely selected place is waiting for us. What we are most committed to is staying pure and clear in finding this divine creation.

Our plan is to have a Sacred Space on the earth that will inspire people to gather together for events that will bring all of us to a place a deeper soulfulness. We visualize a wedding of the sacredness of the indoor sanctuary with the beauty and peaceful serenity of nature's outdoors.

On our part, this has been another active month during which we have pursued potential sites in several areas of the country.  Our wonderful contingent in North Carolina has continued to send us possibilities and we currently our awaiting more information on one property close to Asheville.  Along with this we have had wonderful CSL people checking out sites by the Maryland shore and in Texas.  We also are actively looking in California and are awaiting more information on retreat centers that are for sale in Northern California.  In addition, our own wonderful Judy Szamos is helping us look at availability of land or an existing facility here in the beautiful St. George area.

On a practical note, we continue to do our homework calculating income and expense projections that will help us in our decisions when we do find the place.

We again ask all of you to share in this search.  Our specific criteria are that:

1)      it be located no more that two hours from a major airport

2)      the climate be temperate (not too cold or too hot)

3)      if an existing site is located, the infrastructure be in good condition

4)      it be in a place where the Sacred Gathering Place structure can be one with the beauty and sacredness of the land

We thank each and every one of you for helping us with this exciting search. This is definitely a shared adventure, and we're honored to be experiencing it with you. If you find any possibilities or have any leads for us, please send them to donna@aboutcsl.com  We will continue to update you each month.

Thank you from your CSL Staff

Bill, Donna and Elinor
