So, depending on which pathway resonates with you, whether through the use of ritual, psychology, singing and sound, esoteric psychology, or the rich symbolism of the path of Kabalah, we have a class to guide you on your journey.

With so many classes to choose from, which ones will you choose?

See you soon on campus. It's lovely this time of year.

GRADUATE PROGRAM TRIMESTER II:
TECHNOLOGIES FOR SPIRITUAL EMERGENCE
Facing Addictions and Their Meaning

Rusty Gillette, LPC, LADC, ESII & Juliann Gillette, MA
In this class we will take the spiritual journey of transforming our Co-Dependency and its role within the addictive family system. We will use trusted tools such as The Bowen Family System Theory as a special guide, as we keep a spiritual focus through developing a deeper understanding of the power of the Differentiation of Self. We will learn how Co-Dependency cannot sustain itself once one person within the addictive family begins the journey of recovery. The crisis of transformation for the Co-Dependent also calls for listening to the spiritual call and submission of recovery.

Morning sessions open to students not enrolled in the grad program.

SPIRITUAL MENTOR PROGRAM
Spirituality and Dreams, The Shadow Self, Sexuality, and Relationships

Director, Rev. Carol E. Parrish, PhD.
Spiritual Mentoring requires learning the language of the higher nature and its inner contact. A deep understanding of the basic process of transformation is our focus, as well as the relationship to levels of self and to others, inner and outer.

This is one of three components required for Spiritual Mentor certification. Note: Spiritual Mentor Program classes are scheduled in conjunction with Graduate Week. Spiritual Mentor enrollees also participate in Grad Week activities with other seminary students.

Learning to Work with the Basic Self
by Margaret Stephens
Margaret Stephens
Have you ever wondered why your emotions just won't do what you want them to do or why certain behaviors or experiences keep repeating themselves in your life?

In the natural course of events, everything that we have learned and all that we have been taught to believe has been organized and downloaded into its proper place, the Basic Self, which is the Huna Wisdom tradition term for the subconscious and the instinctual nature.

The Ancient Huna tradition understood that the human being is the outer expression of...

TRAINING OF THE INITIATE
Rev. Margaret Stephens
On the Path of Return the aspirant must learn to develop a loving and balanced relationship with the instinctual nature, called "basic self" in the Huna wisdom tradition, and to appropriately utilize each level of consciousness. During this class the subconscious or basic self (which remembers everything) will be respectfully invited to move beyond the defense systems it constructed in its attempt to protect the vulnerable self within.

As the basic self learns to trust the safety of the class environment, it will be shown how to release old memories and scar tissue that block the full expression of the authentic inner self. Harmony and balance can be restored and the conscious mind can experience a renewed sense of well-being and authentic power.

The Path of Spiritual Evolution
by Niels Brnsted
Source: Journal of Esoteric Psychology Volume XI No. 2 1997-98
Sri Yantra
The path of spiritual evolution may be described in many ways. Generally we can say that it consists of a gradual expansion of the ordinary human waking consciousness so that it will include the dimensions of the soul and the spirit.

Through study, meditation, and service the aspirant to the spiritual path invokes a new function of consciousness and tries to use it as a source of inspiration in his service work. This leads to tension in his mental nature between the new function and the sum total of his achieved development, for he has to make a supreme effort in order to handle the impressions. But as he learns to use the new function more deliberately,...

SATURDAY WORKSHOP
Shadow: A Journey Toward Personality Integration
Jay Semmler, P.E., MA
Carl Gustav Jung, the founder of Jungian Psychology, explored the inner subjective world of the psyche developing a personal methodology of psychotherapy. This form of therapy relied heavily on exploring one's dreams as a direct route and guide into the unconscious so that the personality could consciously dissolve restrictive and limiting energetic patterns known as a complex.

The Archetype of Shadow is probably the easiest of the archetypes for most people to experience, and yet can hold a great deal of resistance for many. Resolution of this tension, or pattern of energy, is inherent in Jungian Shadow Work and an essential factor of personality integration.

Jay has been working with a Jungian Analyst for a little over a year in Shadow Work. He offers personal insights of this process to engage participants in open dialogue with Shadow using creative expression, interaction, and the use of the Kabbalah Tree of Life and Haindl Tarot to explore the use of Shadow as a process of personality integration.

KABALAH
Rev. Carol E. Parrish
Tree of Life in Flower of Life
Kabalah, meaning "to receive," preserves esoteric wisdom for those ready to explore this rich body of knowledge. History, symbology, and meditations are introduced, linking the Kabalistic Tree, the four worlds, the sephiroth, and pathways. We shall trace the relationship to esoteric Christianity from the mysticism of the Hebrews, as well as its similarities to other wisdom ways. Now both men and women can receive a general understanding of this powerful school of thought, rich with new information and transformational ideas. The goal of the class is to explore and gain a new appreciation of this route to higher consciousness. This may be your path.
